Job Vacancies: Bar Staff & Kitchenhands

We at Bright Brewery are recruiting for both L2 Food & Beverage Attendants and Kitchenhands. The PD for Bar Staff is below. The PD for kitchenhand can be acquired by emailing the Head Chef at kitchen@brightbrewery.com.au

Brewery Door – Food & Beverage Attendant Level 2

Purpose of Role

The person holding the role of Brewery Door Food and Beverage Attendant Level 2 is responsible for helping ensure customers have a positive experience visiting Bright Brewery.

Key Tasks

All tasks outlined in Food & Beverage Attendant Introductory and Level 1.

The key tasks the Food and Beverage Attendant Level 2 staff member must perform are:

Providing friendly service to visitors to Bright Brewery

· Welcome visitors to Bright Brewery

· Have strong customer service and ability to problem solve

· Sell Bright Brewery beer, wine, coffee, soft drinks, merchandise, Mash Club and Locals Club

· Inform visitors about Bright Brewery

· Handle cash

Maintain a safe environment at all times

· Adhere to the principles of Responsible Service of Alcohol and OH&S procedures

· Report any Occupational Health and Safety risks to senior manager / supervisor on shift

· Ensure an incident report is completed for any accidents (OH&S and RSA) during the shift

· Ensure all spills and breakages are cleaned-up promptly

Ensure the Brewery Door runs smoothly

· Assisting in the Cellar when required and ensuring that bar stock quantities are maintained

· Keep work areas clean and tidy

· Keep the bar well supplied with glasses, crockery, cutlery

· Respond quickly to instructions from the senior manager / supervisor on shift

Ensure the Brewery Door is well presented at all times

· Ensure the bar area is tidy

· Setting and/or wiping down tables

· Ensure glasses are cleared promptly and glasses are washed and restacked

· Ensure plates are cleared promptly clean food scraps and stack in dish wash area

· Ensure all public areas (including toilets) are clean and tidy at all times

· Ensure music and heating/cooling is at a suitable level

· Follow daily check lists and ensure all is completed

Delivery of food services

· Work with kitchen to maintain a smooth flow of food services

· Deliver food to customers

· Consolidate skills required to run kitchen pass during busy times

Bright Brewery Policies

· Understanding of Bright Brewery policies and implementation of same

Culture

· Staff are responsible for fostering positive culture towards workplace, business and fellow employees.

Other duties as directed and an ability to work without direction or supervision.

Skills Required

· Self motivated: must have

· Legally able to sell alcohol (18 years old+): must have

· Maths sufficient for handling cash: must have

· Able to serve customers in a friendly manner: must have

· Efficient in serving customers: must have

· Willingness to learn about Bright Brewery: must have

· Flexible in work hours: highly desirable

· Ability to make work fun: highly desirable

· Experience working in a bar or restaurant: highly desirable

· Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate: must have

Position Details

· Casual

· Hours include weekend work, evenings and public holidays

· Paid as per Hospitality Industry (General) Award

Reporting to:

Overall: Venue Manager

Daily: Bar Manager / supervisor on duty
