Location
Bright Brewery is located in the main street of Bright. Gavan Street is a dual-lane road, with footpaths and parallel parking on both sides. There are intermittent pedestrian crossings. The street is flat in both directions, however, the land behind Bright Brewery slopes away towards the river.
The venue is easily accessible from the front (Gavan St) by those with accessibility requirements.
Access and Car Parking
Bright Brewery is accessible from the front via the Gavan Street. There is parallel street parking along the entire stretch of this road, as well as a flat footpath running the entire length of our venue.
From the rear, Bright Brewery is accessible from the riverside Howitt Park carpark via a ramp. There are, however, no designated Accessible Car Parks at this location.
The closest designated Accessible Car Parks to Bright Brewery are located on Howitt Lane, opposite the Bright Visitor Information Centre, approximately 100m from Bright Brewery.
Visitors with accessibility needs can be dropped off to our front door by utilising the driveway/loading zone at the front. Please be aware of trucks and forklifts operating in this area.
Our venue
Bright Brewery is all one-level and step-free from front to rear. This includes our indoor restaurant, our outdoor terrace and beer garden, and access to the bathrooms.
There is a clear path through our venue from the front door to the terrace and bathrooms in the rear.
Doors
Our doors, however, are not automatic and require opening manually. Our staff will be thrilled to help, should our visitors require assistance.
Flooring
The floor inside is hard polished concrete and the outdoor Hop Terrace has a concrete floor. There is no carpet or soft floor.
Some areas of our outdoor dining areas, such as ‘The Block’ may not be accessible due to the condition of the grass.
Seating
Our inside seating is on metal chairs or high metal stools. Our outdoor seating is at timber picnic-style tables or high metal stools. Please indicate your preference when booking.
Toilets
Our toilets are accessible from all parts of the venue, with no steps in between. We have one spacious, unisex, wheelchair-accessible bathroom. This bathroom has a single toilet with a grab rail, a baby-change table, a hand-dryer, and a hand-free sensor tap.
Baby Change Area
Our baby change area is located within our accessible bathroom and is at a user-friendly height for wheelchair users.
Large-print menus
Our staff will be happy to provide a large-print menu, if required. Please ask!
Assistance dogs
We are a very proudly pet-friendly venue and we LOVE doggos of all kinds. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout our venue, and we provide accessible water bowls for dogs.
