June 15, 2023 marked 17 years since four friends opened the doors to a little tin shed on Bright’s Great Alpine Road and started pouring beers.

It was the Queen’s Birthday Long Weekend in 2006, and Bright was remarkably different to the Bright we know today.

But those four friends had a dream that they wanted to share their hometown that they loved so much with as many people as possible. They wanted to create a place for friends to meet after a ride, and catch up over a great beer.

A lot has changed in 17 years but the heart of Bright Brewery remains the same!

In 2021, we had a whole week of 15th Anniversary Celebrations planned – but, unfortunately, COVID had other plans. So, instead, we produced a virtual video journey below that we could share with you; as we reflect on the first 15 years of Bright Brewery and how far we’ve come.
