What is required to join?
You must be over 18 years of age and reside in Australia. You’ll need to provide your contact information, and email and a delivery address for us to send a delicious Mash Box to you.
How much does it cost?
There is no joining fee when you sign up to Bright Mash. We will charge your credit card $75 plus the standard delivery charge to your address each quarter, prior to the next Mash Box delivery.
How much is the delivery fee?
In most cases, delivery with Fastway couriers ranges between $15 and $45. Remote locations and western states are calculated at higher rates than metro and major country centres.
To calculate your delivery fee (via Albury – 14kg box, 35 x 23 x 25cm box), go to: http://fastway.com.au/pricing/quick-quote
What is the minimum commitment when you become a member?
Your commitment is 12 months and a minimum of four deliveries.
Is there a joining fee or a cancellation fee?
There is no joining fee, and only a small $20 administration fee if you withdraw from Bright Mash prior to receiving four deliveries.
When will Mash members receive their Mash Box?
Deliveries are in February, May, August and November.
If you sign up more than 30 days until the next quarterly delivery cycle, we will get your first Mash Box straight away. Signing up within 30 days of the next scheduled quarterly delivery means that you will be sent your first delivery during the next scheduled delivery.
Can you ship to a PO Box?
Unfortunately not. We use couriers to deliver all membership cases which need to go to a physical address. If you can’t be at home then we can always deliver to your work or a friends place. Members must provide an authorisation of a safe place to leave the delivery if not home to sign for the goods.
How long will my delivery take to arrive?
This is determined by the delivery location. We use Fastway Couriers who will generally take no more that 5 days to get your order. If you think it is taking too long, please let us know and we will chase the order for you.
Can I track my Mash Box delivery?
Yes, we’ll notify you when your Mash Box is shipped.
What mix of beers will I get in my Mash Box?
Typically 3 to 4 different beer types and flavours that draw on seasonal production and your tasting preferences. The mix will vary with each delivery but be assured the beers you get will be great drinking!
How can I update or change my shipping and billing details?
What is a Mash?
A mash is the first step in making beer. To begin a brew, we gather together milled grains (malt) and “mash in” by pouring the malt into the Mash Tun, and then we mix the grains with hot water.
The heat from the water activates the enzymes within the malt. These enzymes then begin to convert the starches in the grains into sugars. This mash mixture is heated up to allow the enzymes in the malt to break down the starch in the grain into sugars, creating a sugary liquid known as wort (pronounced “wert”).
