Community Keg

A joint initiative between Bright Brewery and the local community

The Bright Community Keg is a joint initiative between Bright Brewery and our local community.

It takes place on the last Wednesday of every month.

We’ll put on the beer – you tell us where the proceeds go!

Community is everything to us. Since our founder Scott Brandon moved to Bright in the early 2000s and started a little brewery in a tin shed, we have remained 100% family-owned and fiercely independent.

While Bright has grown in popularity, our commitment to our local community remains unchanged.

We started with less than a handful of staff and we now support more than 70 local families. We take our position, in the heart of the community, very seriously. Over the years, we have continued to find ways to give back to our local community through sponsorships, partnerships, donations, fundraisers, and beer!

And this new initiative is no different – except now YOU get to tell us where the money goes.

Our founding values drive everything we do here at Bright Brewery – and they help us connect with and support our local community.

We aim to be ACTIVE | AUTHENTIC | SUSTAINABLE in everything that we do and we actively support community groups, initiatives, events and individuals who align with our values. To read more about our values and what they mean to us, please click here.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Once a month, every month, we’ll throw a keg of our Bright Pale Ale on the bar for our Community Keg.

1. Grab your friends and family and head down to Bright Brewery from 5pm on the last Wednesday of every month!
2. Ask for a pot of Bright Pale Ale from our Community Keg.
3. Instead of paying us for your beer, you make a donation to our local beneficiary. Donate as much (or as little) as you like – it’s all for the community!
4. We will donate 100% of proceeds from the keg to the chosen group.
