Description
A celebration of fresh fruity, tropical, floral hops, with a nicely balanced bitterness and a malt structure that does just what it needs to let the hops sing. Discover aromas and flavours of mango, passionfruit and lychee.
Aptly named M.I.A. because when the first batch was due to be kegged, our then brewer (Jon) went paragliding at lunchtime and didn’t come back. It turned out he had to make a forced landing on Mt Feathertop and didn’t get back until late into the night.
Style: India Pale Ale
Strength: 7.0% ALC/VOL

One of the things I missed most moving here from America 5 years ago was craft beers. Especially my favourite style, IPAs. Not anymore. The Australia craft beer movement is growing by leaps and bounds. I have tried hundreds of IPAs and this is one of the best IPA’s I have ever had. It has a strong tropical fruit aroma and aftertaste. Very different to a lot of piney IPAs. Not sure if this is done purely with the choice of hop varieties or by adding natural flavours. Regardless, this is one damn fine beer. Thank you. It would be great if you could crank up the bitterness and ABV with a Double or Imperial version.

Thanks for the review of our MIA IPA Aaron. You clearly know your IPA’s! We’ve passed on your message to the brewer (you made him very happy and he looked super chuffed when he read your comment). We too are now curious to see what he does with this seasonal the next time around.
Cheers to great beers.
